The assignment here is simple: share your thoughts on the book. There's only one catch...your post must be written as a poem! Follow the instructions to post your own poem or to respond to someone else's poem.

Instructions:
  • Share your poem. OR reply to someone else's poem.
  • If you're posting a new poem, add it to the bottom of the list AND use black text.
  • If you're posting a poem as a reply to someone else, add it beneath their poem AND change your text so it's blue.
  • Be sure to include your first name and school at the end of your post. (UPA students, include your teacher's name, too).
  • Be careful when you're commenting that you don't accidentally delete anyone else's poem.

Beginnings
By Mr. Curran UPA Detroit, MI

I love
how the book
begins
with Jack expressing
his dislike
for poetry. I wonder
if a lot of boys
feel
this way.
I don't.
I wonder
if Jack will
change
his mind.

This is just a thought (tijat for short)

Love that Dog
This book is
kind of
like
a
circle poem.............
It starts
off talking
about a
dog......................
Ends
talking about
a dog...............
And there is
talk about dogs
in the middle..................
